Do we want to become a licensed profession as others are? Maybe now is the time and we should revisit this idea for our state. Our purpose is to protect public health and safety as well as excluding those who have not acquired appropriate requisites for licensure. We should fight to improve the respect and prestige from the public and other health care practitioners.
