Carolinas Clinical Connection 2011

March 23-25, 2011

Embassy Suites, North Charleston, SC

Dear Friends:

On behalf of the 2011 Carolinas Clinical Connection planning committee, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Charleston, SC and the Embassy Suites North Charleston. The planning committee, composed of members representing several professional organizations, has worked very hard to secure top-notch speakers with topics of current interest for all. The speakers they have scheduled are at the forefront of "Defending and Defining Health" in their roles as laboratory medicine practitioners.

This conference would not be possible without the support and help of the many vendors in the exhibit hall. We have designed the program to allow for you to visit with them and thank them for their generosity. Many companies contributed money for the speakers, breaks, and social events. They have also gone to considerable expense to bring to our exhibit hall the latest in instrumentation and technology. Please take the time to thank them for their support. Recruiters with job opportunities are also waiting to talk to you about your career goals.

Quality healthcare will always be a necessity; our communities look to us to provide them with the best possible defense against the ravages of disease. Though we represent many professional societies and interests within laboratory medicine, the future demands we unite and chart a course to respond to and shape our ever changing and always challenging new roles in our field of medicine. May we all strive together to learn, grow professionally, and accept the challenge of "Defending and Defining" the course of healthcare!

Please note that the registration deadline for the conference is March 18th, 2011. March 18th, 2011 is also the last date at which you will receive a full refund should you be unable to attend; please remember the request for refund must be made in writing.

The deadline for the room block at Embassy Suites has been extended. Currently, reservations must be made by February 28th, 2011 at midnight. Please remember to scroll through Embassy Suites web-site as we are towards the bottom. The reservation group is Carolinas Clinical Connection and the reservation code is CCC. They have sold out of our rooms blocked on Friday and Saturday night. Spring time in Charleston is a very popular time. We do respectfully request that you make your reservations for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights at Embassy Suites, as not doing so, could mean we don't make the room block for the meeting, and it will cost our group more to hold the meeting.

Michelle Mantooth,
General Chair
